Bison construction adhesive D4 1K PU glue brown

This liquid wood construction adhesive is ideal for strong, durable bonds where water resistance and reliability are essential. The professional polyurethane formula complies with the EN 204 D4 standard and is suitable for virtually all wood types, both with each other and in combination with various building materials. Its liquid structure allows the adhesive to penetrate deeply into the wood, helping to create robust structures and joints, even with less compatible wood.

Specifications

The adhesive is based on polyurethane prepolymer and is completely solvent-free. It is suitable for surface bonding of wood and combinations with materials such as plaster, natural stone, aerated concrete, metal, rigid foam, and various plastics. The adhesive is (sea)water-resistant according to EN 204 D4 and offers excellent moisture and temperature resistance from -20 to +125°C. Consumption is 5 to 6 m² per kg. The color is transparent brown and has limited filling capacity, with slight foaming upon curing. The unopened shelf life is at least 18 months.

Instructions for use

Ensure the surfaces are clean, dry, and dust-free and lightly moisten one of the two sides to be bonded with a damp cloth. Degrease oily wood and rough, non-porous materials. Apply the adhesive thinly and evenly with a fine-toothed trowel or brush. Assemble the joint within 30 minutes and press or clamp for at least four hours at a pressure of 2 to 5 kg/cm². Apply at temperatures above +5°C and relative humidity below 65 percent. Remove adhesive residue immediately with acetone; dry residue can only be removed mechanically.
