Self-adhesive pre-compressed joint tape
Non-standard impregnated, pre-compressed foam tape for sealing joints and connections indoors or as backing material for outdoor use. Ideal for installing exterior woodwork behind the battens, if further sealed with e.g., Soudaseal 215 LM.
Key Features
- Acoustic and thermal insulator
- Dustproof
- Windproof
- Vapor permeable
- Meets the requirements according to DIN4108 (EnEv) and the RAL mounting recommendations
- Easy to apply
- One-sided self-adhesive (= mounting aid)
- Does not cause contamination of the joint edges
- Neutral and odorless
- Permanently elastic and paintable.
Applications
- As a joint sealant in masonry, between prefabricated elements and concrete walls. Soudaband Acryl 300 can also be used as a secondary sealant for the joint between window frames and walls. It must be covered afterwards, e.g., with Soudaseal 215LM.
Instructions for use
- Soudaband Acryl 300 is easy to apply without special tools. A spatula, knife, or scissors, and possibly wooden wedges, are sufficient. After determining the joint width, select the appropriate tape size. The joint edges should be parallel and free of construction debris and/or cement residue. When unrolling Soudaband, allow at least 1 cm extra. For vertical joints, start applying the Soudaband at the bottom. Secure the swelling tape by pressing the self-adhesive side against one side of the joint using a putty knife. After application, the pre-compressed tape will expand, pressing against the joint edges and filling the joint, including any irregularities. When butting two Soudaband ends, it is important that they are flush on the visible side and that the two ends fit together securely. Allow for excess length per tape and do not stretch it during application.
